The American Dental Association Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct (ADA Code)

Dentists are in a special position of trust within society and because of this are afforded certain privileges. This trust is based on the commitment of individuals within the dental profession to high ethical standards of conduct. These standards are embodied in the ADA Code. The aspirational goals of the profession are referred to as the Principles of Ethics and include:
As a condition of registration, candidacy and upon achieving Diplomate status, individuals voluntarily agree to abide by the ADA Code as a condition of association in the Board.
When applied to the specialty of oral and maxillofacial radiology, a Board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist should uphold the highest standards of clinical practice in oral and maxillofacial radiology and maintain professionalism. This is achieved by adhering to the following:
